For Plevier, Omega prepared a parking demand and supply assessment for the area around Violierstraat, Kastanjeweg and Pioenroosstraat in Uden.
The project
The proposed redesign of the area prompted a fresh assessment of parking demand. For Plevier, Omega examined demand from the housing, service businesses, offices and shops in the area.
Different uses and parking times
Omega calculated parking demand for each use based on municipal parking standards. Attendance factors were then used to assess the use of parking spaces at different times of the week.
Calculations and existing survey data
Omega compared these calculations with the number of available parking spaces and incorporated the existing parking survey into the assessment. The advice distinguishes between calculated parking demand and observed parking occupancy.
