Boomstede Health Centre
For Gezondheidscentra Maarssenbroek, Omega assessed the parking and mobility implications of the proposed extension at Boomstede. Car and bicycle parking, use by staff and visitors, and traffic generation were assessed together.

The project
The phased extension of the health centre at Boomstede 204 required an assessment of additional parking demand. Space for new parking bays is limited, so existing use and capacity in the surrounding area were also part of the study.
Parking demand and actual use
Omega calculated car and bicycle parking demand and assessed appropriate assumptions for this healthcare location. Staff and visitor data supplied by the health centre were considered alongside accessibility on foot and by bicycle and the existing car and bicycle parking facilities.
Surveys and traffic generation
In July 2026, Omega carried out parking occupancy surveys on three working-day mornings and compared occupancy with the additional parking demand. Traffic generation from the extension was also calculated for an average calendar day and an average working day. Omega brought these findings together in the August 2026 draft report.
