Omega prepared a parking, mobility and traffic plan for Het Nieuwe Hout, including standards, access scenarios and the capacity of the surrounding road network.
Research into traffic flows, accessibility and road safety, from an entrance or junction to a neighbourhood or municipality.

A municipality needs to understand where traffic is held up or what a change to the road network would mean. A business or institution faces busy arrival periods, deliveries or an unclear entrance. A new project requires insight into additional traffic and its effects on the surrounding area. Omega examines these questions in relation to how the roads and site are used.
Omega analyses available traffic data and models, calculates trip generation and compares routes and measures. Roads, junctions and sites are assessed for accessibility, traffic flow and road safety. The advice supports policy choices, changes to the layout or the transport assessment of a proposal. If additional survey data is needed, Omega can arrange traffic counts through a specialist company.

Omega examined parking and traffic generation for Westdonck and discussed the parking and traffic requirements with local residents at a thematic session.
We calculate the traffic the programme is expected to generate and how it will be distributed across the access roads. We clarify the assumptions, relevant periods and consequences for the surrounding area.
Traffic counts show how much traffic uses a road or junction. Omega can arrange for a specialist company to carry out these counts and use the results for traffic studies and advice.
We assess traffic volumes, road-section capacity and junction performance. Where necessary, we calculate options and use available traffic models to interpret future conditions.
We investigate how a site can connect to the existing road network. Access options, internal routes and connections to parking facilities or mobility hubs are assessed together.
We examine the road network from the perspective of safety and use. Considerations include interactions between traffic flows, circulation and the space needed for a workable layout.
For hotels, event venues and other facilities, we investigate arrivals, departures and peak demand. We examine routes for visitors, staff, taxis and suppliers, as well as the layout of facilities such as kiss & ride areas.
We enjoy working with Omega. They actively contribute to mobility issues and help us substantiate plans thoroughly and carefully to the municipality and local community.
Their knowledge and practical approach bring clear added value to our area and housing developments.
