Stadshart Amstelveen, phase 2
For the second phase of Stadshart Amstelveen, Omega assessed parking demand and reviewed the car park design. The commission also included design improvements and an initial exploration of parking tariffs.
The project
The project concerns parking facilities for the housing programme in phases 2A and 2B of Stadshart Amstelveen. Commissioned by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Omega assessed how parking demand relates to the programme, accessibility and opportunities to use existing parking facilities.
Parking demand and accessibility
Omega calculated parking demand for rental and owner-occupied housing scenarios, compared municipal parking standards with assumptions appropriate to the location and examined opportunities for shared use. An accessibility analysis assessed the options for walking, cycling and public transport.
Design and parking tariffs
Omega also reviewed the car park design against NEN 2443 and developed proposals for the layout, vehicle routes and use of space. Local parking subscription tariffs and options for renting or selling parking spaces were explored as an initial basis for further consideration.
