Westdonck

The project

For Westdonck in Bolnes, Wooncompas is renewing housing and public space. The project requires a parking solution suited to future residents and visitors as well as the use of the surrounding neighbourhood.

Omega prepared the parking demand and supply assessment and investigated demand for each building block, appropriate standards and opportunities to use existing public spaces. A separate report also addresses bicycle and mobility scooter parking, car ownership, traffic generation and access.

The commission also included a parking occupancy study in the surrounding area. Omega developed the survey routes; counts at different times recorded occupancy street by street.

Omega also explained the traffic and parking situation and possible solutions at a themed session with local residents. Their experiences and wishes informed further development of the proposal.
