The project
Vlijtse Parktorens forms part of the transformation of the Kanaalzone in Apeldoorn. Its mobility requirements combine housing and facilities with parking in a mobility hub and at ground level.
Omega prepared the parking and mobility assessment and developed appropriate standards based on policy and mobility profiles for each housing segment. The parking, mobility and traffic evidence supported the planning process.
The traffic work covered traffic generation, interpretation of the Stedendriehoek 2023-2040 model, road link capacity analysis and calculations for junction options. The connection with the mobility hub was also assessed.
