Omega prepared a concept plan for the parking layout, internal traffic routes and access control at Recreatieoord Binnenmaas, addressing visitor peaks and site management.
The project
Recreatieoord Binnenmaas wanted to improve the organisation of parking and traffic on its site in Mijnsheerenland. Visitors, staff, suppliers and buses use the same access. At busy times, this calls for a clear layout and recognisable routes.
Omega developed a concept plan for rearranging the car park and entrance area. The design brings together parking bays, one-way routes and pedestrian paths. A reversible lane at the barriers was also investigated, to serve as an additional entrance or exit depending on visitor demand.
The advice also addresses access control, markings and maintenance of the parking infrastructure. Options for solar-panel canopies and electric charging were explored to improve sustainability. The concept plan provides a basis for further coordination and technical development.
